Tobacco Warehouse for Messrs. Marburg Bros , Baltimore, MD
Charles L. Carson, architect(s). From the American Architect and Building News, October 1, 1887. 13.25 by 8.75 inches. VG+.
The information on this particular plan is incorrect in two respects. First, the building was commissioned by the Marburg Bros. Tobacco Company Š—– not Š—…McArburg Bros.Š—È, as the Architects and Builders Journal would have it Š—– and secondly the architect was Charles L. Carson rather than Š—…Charles L. CarlsonŠ—È(Corrected by the Maryland Historical Society). This picture is extremely hard to find, as the American Architect and Building News not only had a very small circulation during that time, but very few were actually preserved or colored as this has been. It measures 13.25 by 8.75 inches. Has a mat border and foam core backing (not attached to the picture). The whole picture measures 14.75 by 11.5 inches (with border). Finely detailed and beautifully hand-colored. Shrink wrapped.
