Depiction of a Ladies' Baseball Match
n/a, architect(s). From the American Architect and Building News, 1890. 15.75 by 10.75 inches. VG condition with light browning along the edges.
Hand-colored Original Plan. This picture is extremely hard to find, as the Once A Week Newspaper not only had a very small circulation during that time, but very few were actually preserved or colored as this has been. This is one of the earliest representations of a women's baseball league. It shows the game in action, as the pitcher throws to first while a runner steals home. Measures approximately 15.75 by 10.75 inches. Has a mat border and foam core backing (not attached to the picture). The whole plan measures approximately 20 by 16 inches (with mat border). Finely detailed and beautifully hand-colored. Shrink wrapped.
