Gelatine Print. This is an original gelatine on fiber based paper. The Rudolfinum is a music auditorium in Prague, Czech Republic. It is designed in the neo-renaissance style and is situated on Jan Palach Square on the bank of the river Vltava. The building was designed by architect Josef ZÌ_tek and his student Josef Schulz, and was opened February 8, 1885. It is named in honour ofRudolf, Crown Prince of Austria, who presided over the opening. This picture is extremely hard to find. The American Architect and Building News had a very small circulation during this time and these original gelatines only appeared in a very limited number of issues. It measures 12.75 by 8.75 inches. Has a mat border and foam core backing (not attached to the picture). The whole picture measures approximately 15.5 by 11.5 inches (with border). Extraordinary detail in this early photographic print. Shrink wrapped.
