Detail of Ceiling in Concert-Hall and Ball-Room of Hotel Waldorf-Astoria, New York, NY
H.J. Hardenbergh, architect(s). From the American Architect and Building News, April 2, 1898. 17.5 by 13.25 inches. VG+ condition. Slight browning and crinkling around the edges.
Gelatine Print. This picture is extremely hard to find, as the American Architect and Building News not only had a very small circulation during that time, and these original Gelatines only appeared in a very limited number of issues that were distributed to a few prominent architects. It measures approximately 17.5 by 13.25 inches. Has a mat border and foam core backing (not attached to the picture). The whole plan measures approximately 21.5 by 17.25 inches (with mat border). Extraordinary detail in this early photographic print. Shrink wrapped.
